How do I breathe when I'm working with MU? The beginning is Sussokan to samadhi but then? Carry on so deep and long in the lower abdomen with MU?


When you enter a dojo, you will do at least for a year only sussokan. This is the best way to work creatively on the tanden breathing and samadhi. Then when being given a koan, the tanden breathing simply continues, and the koan does not become a mental question, since you practice with your whole body, you simply become the koan.
