I have difficulty sitting in zazen. The posture is not the problem as much as the breathing exercise it's so contrary to my reflex that I find it difficult to do without the sensation of being extremely short of breath. Is this normal? What advice for an absolute novice?
May 31, 2013, 2:31 amDo not force the breathing, do not create it to be a certain way. Take all tension from your body, become like an empty pipe, and there is nothing that this empty pipes gets obstructed by. In this state, exhale to the last point of your breath, that is how it works best.
