Taisen Deshimaru was very sad when a long time disciple of his died. He said he wished he would be able to see her again in heaven one day. His students said how could this be you are a zen Buddhist. Yes. This is so and one day sincerely I want to see her again in heaven. Could you comment please

People have a wish, and according to their wish, their life unfolds. Whether the wish becomes reality or not is not the focral point here, yet it could be said that we have our life for our wish to exist. A life without a wish is not one´s true life. Also training, we start it with a deep wish, and from there the purpose of our training gets realized. And if our life unfolds according to our wish, what greater joy could there be! Whether there is a place like heaven or not is not a big problem. More important is to have a wish and a vision.
