Does ethical discipline help or hinder Zen?

The awakening of the Buddha is called Buddhism. This truth of the Buddha is the law of human mind. The Buddha taught about livelihood according to this law. This is Buddhism. "Do not do bad, do good", "Three pure precepts", "Ten precepts". To realise these, working on them in your daily life, that is the Buddha´s path, and that is why we do zazen. It is not some outer ethical values, that we follow, but from deep realization, our every day gets aligned naturally. This is the Buddhist path, this is realization of Buddha mind.
