We are told that gathering in a sangha is important in our practice. Yet this practice requires individual effort. Perhaps some people don't need to be part of a sangha in order to train. Is this perfectly fine to work only on one's own?

A sangha starts with three people gathering to help
each other on the path to realization. Yet a sangha can be from support to
bringing you frustration. That is so because while we live in a material world,
it is hard to truly awaken. To be able to continue one´s training does need
great efforts. There is the determination necessary, that this our life is only
for awakening. For those efforts I do pray.
