The stone lantern doesn`t need to explain oneself. Neither does a tree, the sun or the rain...

I am new to zazen only a few months now. Sometimes during practice there is shifting in my head like my brain is moving around. It usually happens when I start to go deeper. It does not hurt but it is curious. Is the mind just trying to get comfortable?

When you sit zazen, first of all you need to align your body. Having your hips be in balance, your spine erect, your body as if suspended from the top of your head. And thus you can work on how to develop your inner center. When your body is centered, just like a water fall, wide and huge, expansive, exhaling all the way to the tanden. And this type of breathing becomes more settled. Also your bodily sensations will become settled.
