How does one know that one has met ones true teacher?
October 23, 2015, 6:21 pm
In all eras it is said that to meet a true teacher is most difficult. The transmission from the Buddha down to the teacher has to be clearly proven. In Japan in the main temples (HONZAN) the records are kept on which teacher has which transmitted to disciple. All Zen in Japan now originates in Hakuin. So we are in the direct lineage of Hakuin. The other important aspect is that you feel affinity with the teacher.
