Could you please explain what is this human selfawareness. If you look at it it becomes obvious that it doesn't point to anything. It looks like it just hangs alone out there. I am so and so changes but this selfawareness stays the same as if I would not change at all. How do you see this?

It is our self awareness, that constantly judges and reflects. Every human has that which goes beyond the ego, which could be called a good sense. The ancients called Buddha Nature the Great Ego. That awareness which constantly goes on between gain and loss has an awareness beyond where you can encounter your pure humanity. To guide people to this realisation is the purpose of true education. That is the reason we do zazen, to experience that pure human being for ourselves.
