In the introduction to Zen Mind Beginner Mind the author points out that there are two words that S. Suzuki never used satori and kensho. What if I never experience Kensho?

As it is taught by Rinzai Zenji, to not add a second nen (thought moment) to the naturally arising first thought. If you can do this, then you are further along the path than a monk with 10 years of practice. This is how it easily happens, that we worry too easily and create confusion for ourselves. People who worry about dying have not really lived yet. Please put all your efforts into realization.
