I understand one drop ZEN as being thoughtful with resources not wasting even 1 drop of water and living in harmony with nature. On the other hand we fly around the world to attend sesshins. When flying we cause tones of CO2 emissions. How does this fit together? Isn't it better to do without travelling?

That is really not good. It is the source of global warming. Every year I fly 7 times to Europe and America. This means two long distance flights. I am creating huge amounts of CO2 each time. But that is not all. Because of the high radiation on the airplanes, my brain is shrinking and my body is getting old faster. Knowing about these aspects, still I feel the need to travel and support my students, that even some of my wisdom may be left behind for future generations. Every person needs to know their purpose in life and chose accordingly.
