Samu and Kyudo Sesshin

At Hokuozan the week started off with some Samu - two projects were planned: re-roofing the baking house and planting flowers along the birch tree road leading up to Hokuozan. (pictures here) The main part of these jobs was completed beautifully, thanks to everyone´s amazing efforts despite the cold temperatures. The week ended with a sesshin and kyudo practice during the weekend. The first basic steps of kyudo - the path of the bow - were learned, and everyone patiently practiced these moves, supporting also their zazen practice with this energy. Below some impression of the kyudo days.
