Harada Roshi has requested the sangha at Sogenji to sit in the MuSoJo (No Form Samadhi) mudra. It was Hyakujo Zenji who stressed this as well, saying that this mudra is the best to support the energy flow during meditation. It does take some time to get used to it, but you can actually feel how it supports your concentration, the Roshi explains. It is inspiring to see the sangha in Sogenji sitting in this concentrated way.
Only during Rohatsu are you allowed to sit with your hands clenched together, shown in the picture below.
