Today Bodhi travelled to Perambular in Tamilnadhu. It is a small and remote village, with about 5000 Dalit inhabitants. At 48 degrees a Buddha Statue was placed in the village center, to strengthen and encourage the Indian people in their faith in Buddhism. Here you can see Bodhi, sweat streaming down his face because of the extreme heat in India at this time, reading a sutra in front of the Buddha statue.
