If one has an inclination to do the training in the monastery how can one know it's genuine and not just an attempt to escape life within society.

From my point of view, I do not see the point of the question, why would going to a monastery for training mean that you are running away from society?
If you mean that by deciding to go to a monastery, your family and friends might think, that you only worry about yourself, then I can understand the question.
The important question is: why do you want to do training? Why did this thought arise?
The Buddha himself was facd with being questioned, whether he was nit ashamed about not working in society, but letting others plow the field and then receive their offering?
The Buddha replied: we do monk every day.. We plow the rough and edgy minds of people in society. We pick the weeds of greed, hate and delusion. We plant the seeds of Buddhahood in the minds of everyone. And we show them how they can continue to raise this seed, water it and carefully tend it.
If your mind dos not settle, then you bring even more weeds to society and the ego grows. If you look at society nowadays, you can see what I mean. There are only few who empty their mind working in society, who throw their ego away, yet this is of great importance.
We had Christian monks and nuns visit Sogenji as part of the East West Spiritual Exchange program. 17 of them stayed for 10 days. As you may know, Christian monks and nuns stay for their whole life in the monastery. We had an exchange with them and the question came up: how can you throw your friends and family away, enter a monastery and not meet them again? An older monk by th name of Tonini replied: there is the love for family and friends, yet we have received the love of god.
I hope that this clarifies your question.
