Today during Bishamon ceremony the special sutra for Segaki - Feeding the Hungry Ghosts - was read. It consists of the Sutra "Daisegaki: Jajinnyuryoshi" accompanied by cymbals and drums. Calling out to the departed spirits to return for nourishment and support, especially to those who are still suffering and unclear about their future. It is also a chance for those participating in the ceremony to cut through any limiting and challenging bonds with those ancestors, realigning their own spirit in light and brightness again.
