East West spiritual exchange

Five Christian monks and nuns have gathered in Sogenji for the East West spiritual exchange, where every four years Christian brothers and sisters join the Buddhist monastic life. Every other four years, Buddhist monks from Japan get the chance to experience the life in a Christian monastery in Europe. The brothers and sisters arrived at Sogenji, joining the sangha in zazen, samu and meals, while studying the monastic life style before entering Japanese monasteries. At the end of their stay in Japan, a symposium will be held in Kyoto.
