The tray with the Bussho plates on which rice offerings are being prepared before breakfast.
On these small plates 3-7 grains of rice will be placed before their are being offered to all the Tonosama statues, the main altar, Itaten and the kitchen altar.
After breakfast the bussho plates are collected, the rice gathered together with the saba offerings of the sangha ...
... and given to the birds in this little bird house outside the kitchen.
