Hamburg

We meet regularly Wednesday at 19.45, Rappstr. 15, 20146 Hamburg. Jiko, Nanshin and Gerhard represented the ODZ at the Hamburg Vesakh Festival held in a public park in the center of Hamburg.
Jiko spontaneously helped out playing the mokugyo at the opening ceremony and did a wonderful job. At our stand we presented some of Roshi´s calligraphies, his book “moon by the window” and we distributed our zen-flyer. We had several nice encounters with practitioners from other sanghas, especially remarkable was a short mondo with our neighbor at the stall who just shouted “You don´t want to lose it – do you?” and then retraeted into the void. We had many talks with visitors interested in zen and could give some calligraphies to people who were specially touched by a certain calligraphic motive. It was a wonderful, interesting and inspiring event.
