In 1990, Tim (Jundo) Williams, who had been sitting with a group in Columbia, Missouri, that called itself the Columbia Zen Center, travelled to Japan and met Shodo Harada. Some years later his wife, Jane (Shotaku) Lago, also travelled to Sogenji.

During the years that they sat with the Columbia Zen Center Jundo drew the illustrations for the Roshi's first book, Morning Dewdrops of the Mind, and Shotaku worked on compiling the Roshi's second book, The Path to Bodhidharma. Later, the two worked together to edit Moon by the Window.

In the late 1990s, Mitra Biship Sensei traveled to Columbia on several occasions to hold weekend sesshins with the group, and a number of members travelled to Japan to train at Sogenji.

Due to Roshi's busy schedule this year, we are currently not accepting any new questions at this time
